Research has established that neuro-variability is the “norm.” Everyone learns a little different. Most curricula and teaching techniques have characteristics that automatically have present learning barriers to some students. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) allows educators to minimize frustration and maximize motivation and learning in students. In this interactive workshop, you will experience a simulation of what it is like to have a learning difficulty; you will experience and hear about several examples of UDL activities; and you will work in small groups to generate and share more ways to implement UDL in EFL classrooms.
