This presentation aims at providing English teachers who know little about the principles of English for Specific Purposes with clear explanations and the steps to follow when designing and teaching an ESP course. The presentation will be supported not only by theory but also with the experience of the presenter of having designed an ESP course for an interdisciplinary population with a mixed proficiency level profile. Aspects such as the development of the needs analysis, the course design, materials design, student assessment, and course evaluation will be addressed.
