Most educators agree that student achievement is strongly tied to non-academic skills. Innovation, collaboration, critical, and creative thinking, all contribute to success in learning. This can be especially important in the language classroom, where the learning journey can be very long and motivation hard to sustain.  In this workshop we will look at what we as teachers can do in our classrooms to foster an environment which builds student confidence and autonomy, piques their curiosity, and encourages them to think, take risks, and develop as learners.
